Brandon Mulcunry, Irving A. Robbins Middle School, Farmington, created a garden and harvested over 6,000 pounds of vegetables for St. Elizabeth House and Mercy Shelter in Hartford. He recruited more than I 00 people to help plant, cultivate, harvest and deliver the
produce, which was grown in a 50' x 100' garden plot in Farmington. Mulcunry and his volunteers have spent over 1,000 hours on the project, which was recognized in the New York Times and in local news media.
