Distinguished Finalist

Allison Nohr, 18, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, a member of the Nishnabotna Girl Scout Council of Southwest Iowa and a senior at St. Albert High School, created and taught art classes for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, and organized an Afternoon Art Club for middle school students, in an effort to provide more art education than was being offered in schools. She sought donations for the programs, recruited volunteers, developed lesson plans for the participating students, and served as the instructor in both programs.
