Distinguished Finalist

Lydia Iwuoha, 17, of Washington, D.C., a senior at Dunbar Pre-Engineering High School, taught computer and government classes to disadvantaged children enrolled in summer enrichment programs sponsored by For Love of Children and the New Community Advocacy Program. Lydia attended training classes every week, researched and prepared lesson plans, taught classes, led field trips, and served as a mentor for young children.
