Distinguished Finalist

Jacob Mozer, 12, of Blue Springs, Missouri, a sixth-grader at Moreland Ridge Middle School, has helped his family raise money for childhood cancer research by working at multiple lemonade stands throughout Kansas City over the past five years. Jacob, who had neuroblastoma as a baby, has also traveled to Washington, D.C., with his father to encourage Congress to provide more funding for childhood cancer research.
