Distinguished Finalist

Samantha Green, 18, of Malden, Missouri, a senior at Malden School, created a program to properly dispose of worn-out American flags. Samantha, who learned about care of the American flag as a Girl Scout, created a drop-off center for tattered flags and developed a training program for Boy and Girl Scouts about proper care of the flag.
