Kristy Choi, 17, of Boyds, Md., a senior at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, has donated more than 600 hats to children battling cancer through the organization she co-founded, "Codi's Hats." Kristy, who created "Codi's Hats" in 2009 to honor her friend who died in a car accident, manages large groups of volunteers who make hats during hat-making sessions and sends them to hospitals across the country.
