Distinguished Finalist

Lynn Nguyen, 16, of Honolulu, Hawaii, a junior at Punahou School, founded "Walkin' in a Gift Card Wonderland," a gift card collection that provided small gifts and goodies for children diagnosed with cancer. Lynn, who worked with a group of volunteers through her school's Key Club, decorated and placed drop-off boxes at stores and used the gift card balances to purchase the items, and also created a student club that makes special visits to children while they undergo their cancer treatments.
