Distinguished Finalist

Olivia Ireland, 18, of Dayton, Ohio, a senior at Oakwood High School, has collected and distributed more than 5,500 books over the past six years to benefit children through the local shelters and the YWCA. Olivia, who gathers her friends to dress as Santa's elves and distribute the books each year, has expanded the program to include a Christmas party for children in need who receive the books and new hats, gloves, scarves and school supplies.
